Synopsis
When their elven brethren betrayed her people, one Dark Elf Chief will do whatever it takes to save her people—even if it means trusting Orcs. Manga also available from Seven Seas!
In a world where firearms and sorcery coexist, two great powers stand in opposition: the Kingdom of Orcsen—an alliance of magical races led by the so-called “savage” orcs—and Elfland, a seemingly peaceful realm of beautiful white elves.
But beneath Elfland’s serene facade lies a grim truth. The dark elves, once part of the elven homeland, are being systematically purged. Fleeing for her life and on the verge of death, dark elf clan leader Dinerúth is rescued by none other than Gustav, king of Orcsen.
Their fateful encounter sets off a chain of events that will shake the foundations of both nations—and rewrite the very history of their world.

Oh lord, the first volume leaves me with a weird feeling.
The story is mildly interesting, the characters okay, but;
There is way, way too much content cribbed from base-line wikipedia articles about Preussian/Astro-Hungary industrial/military development and doctrine pre-ww1 and the interwar period.
Its not just the german loanwords being from that era, but a lot of the discussions and the style/commenting is basically 1:1 from superficial historical accounts in too many ways.
The other issue for me is that there is one nation that basically “does everything better thanks to innovating” and gets heavily glazed at least once per 2 pages.
It might develop into an interesting ww1-era-inspired fantasy read, but i can only guess that the glazing and very one-sided historical ‘references’ will continue.
