I think because this is not an official translation
This is one of the worst things I have ever read. Feels like the editor just gave up half-way through it and just focused on fixing the grammar. The clichés are fucking everywhere, and the jump from lines like “I won’t let any escape” and “Slaughtering these goblins gave him a trauma because he came from a peaceful country” gave me whiplash. Additionally, all throughout the novel, there are these weird translator’s notes which completely take you out of the immersion. Absolute shitfest.
