Kinda sad knowing that there will be no continuations, even for the anime. I finished the anime years ago and this is the only time I can read the novels. Thank you to whoever posted this and I’ll do my best to revive the dead fandom.
Now I’m kinda scared to read this.. Does it has a hanging ending? Was it discontinued???
When is volume 6, 7, 8?
This is (sort of) complete. The “8” volumes of the raw are 5 main volumes and 3 side story volumes. I think that this is the entire main story. Not having the side stories may be disappointing, but at least we don’t have to worry about a cliffhanger.
I take it back! This is not complete at all. The translator stopped a little more than half way through volume 5. It is definitely incomplete. He claimed he would come back to it, but that was 5 years ago. Unless someone else takes over, this may be incomplete forever.
On the topic of official releases, Yen Press supposedly got the license, but then they cancelled their plans to release it. The author’s other big series, Log Horizon, has been stalled at the the writing stage for years. It got to the point where the last season of the anime covered web novel stuff that hasn’t even been published as a light novel yet. and might never be.
